Crystal Palace Vs West Ham United: Match Preview And Injury News

West Ham United are set to take on Crystal Palace at the weekend – Roy Hodgson’s team are currently on a good run of form, but the Hammers are also hitting their stride late into the season.

West Ham’s only injury concern ahead of their game against the Eagles is Gianluca Scamacca. The Italian hitman is set to be out of action until June – it’s likely that he will not play again this season.

In their last game, West Ham were controversially beaten by Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool. The Hammers took the lead early on through Lucas Paqueta, only for the Reds to equalise six minutes later thanks to Cody Gakpo. Joel Matip then headed Liverpool into the lead, but West Ham were denied a clear penalty late on – hopefully, this erroneous decision does not come back to bite the Irons.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace were beaten by Wolves in their last league game. Joachim Andersen scored an own goal after three minutes to give Palace an early deficit – in the end, they were beaten by a score of 2-0, as Ruben Neves scored a late penalty.

When the two teams last came to blows, Crystal Palace were the winners – West Ham initially took the lead, but the Eagles turned the tables as Michael Olise netted a last-minute winner. Can the Irons gain some revenge in the reverse fixture?
