Chris Sutton Predicts The Result As West Ham Take On Arsenal

BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton does not expect West Ham to pick up any points when they face Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

The Hammers are in pretty good form heading into the London derby but Sutton believes that the Gunners will prove to be “too good” for David Moyes’ team:

“West Ham got a really vital victory over Fulham last week and they are still desperate for points so they will give everything here – but Arsenal should be too good for them.”

Sutton has gone with a 2-0 win for Arsenal, which is a slightly harsh prediction, considering the Hammers have been pretty good defensively recently, barring that awful home defeat to Newcastle.

Of course, if they play anywhere near as bad as they did against the Magpies then they can expect a hiding, but West Ham fans would have taken heart from the win versus Fulham last time out in the league.

Fitness levels may be a concern, though, with the Irons having played Gent on Thursday night while Arsenal have had a full week to prepare. Still, you would hope the momentum from recent results could help them put in another strong performance against the league leaders.
