Chelsea Consider Offering 40M Rated Striker In Bid To Land West Ham Star

West Ham will be offered striker Tammy Abraham as part of Chelsea’s bid to sign midfielder Declan Rice, according to reports in the English media.

The forward is thought to be on Hammers boss David Moyes’ list of transfer targets, and Chelsea are likely to use him in order to bring down the fee for Rice.

Moyes has already said that he wouldn’t consider a fee of less than £100m for Rice, but it seems Chelsea value the England international at between £70m and £90m.

In addition to Abraham (who they have priced at £40m), the Blues are said to be weighing up whether to offer £30m to £50m on top of that. Whether the Irons would accept such a proposal, it is doubtful.

Rice is unlikely to force through a move but it is believed that if he were to leave the London Stadium, he would prefer a return to Stamford Bridge, rather than a switch to either Manchester United or Manchester City.
