Celtic ‘Have Made Inquiries’ About £8m West Ham Flop But They Are Not The Only Team Interested

Celtic “have made inquiries” about West Ham striker Albian Ajeti, according to Sky Sports. The website claims that the Scottish champions are keen on signing the forward either on loan or on a permanent basis.

The Swiss international has struggled for game time since arriving from FC Basel for £8m last summer, and he has had just two brief substitute appearances in the league under David Moyes since the Scot’s arrival as manager.

Celtic are not the only team interested in Ajeti, though, with Sky Sports also claiming that “a number of” Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on the 23-year-old.

If the striker does depart this summer, the Hammers will almost certainly need to go into the transfer market for a replacement.

Currently, Sebastien Haller is the only other senior forward in the squad, with winger Michail Antonio having to be drafted in as an emergency striker in the Frenchman’s absence.
