Cardiff City V West Ham Team News, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Following the 2-0 win against Newcastle last Saturday, West Ham will be very confident about picking up another three points at Cardiff this weekend.

The Bluebirds are in a wretched run of form, having lost 5-1, 3-0 and 2-0 in their last three league games, and the Hammers will want to condemn them to their fourth straight defeat.

Heading into the match at the Cardiff City Stadium, West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini is finally seeing a number of players return from injury.

Arthur Masuaku returned to face Newcastle after being a doubt for the game, although Aaron Cresswell’s return from a broken toe only lasted 34 minutes during the win over the Magpies. He should be fit for the game on Saturday after recovering from a collision.

Pellegrini has confirmed that Fabian Balbuena is set to make his comeback following knee surgery. The Paraguayan played for the Under 23s against Blackburn Rovers on Monday night.

Winston Reid (knee) is also back in training after a year out, but there has been no date set for his return to first-team action. Andriy Yarmolenko (Achilles), Jack Wilshere (ankle) and Carlos Sanchez (knee) remain out of contention.

Cardiff are without defender Sol Bamba who has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury against Wolves.

The bookmakers have West Ham as favourites for this game. They are 5/4 at Coral, with a draw 27/11 with Unibet. A Cardiff win is 13/5 at BetVictor.

West Ham’s Predicted XI To Face Cardiff:

Fabianski, Fredericks, Diop, Ogbonna, Masuaku, Nasri, Rice, Noble, Anderson, Lanzini, Hernandez

Cardiff’s Predicted XI:

Etheridge, Peltier, Morrison, Manga, Bennett, Hoilett, Ralls, Gunnarsson, Camarasa, Reid, Niasse

Predicted Score – 2-0 to West Ham
