West Ham defender Kurt Zouma put in a good performance as France secured a 2-0 win over Finland earlier this week.
The 26-year-old has not played for his new club yet after securing his £26m move from Chelsea late last month, and Hammers supporters on Twitter were excited by what they saw of the centre-back on international duty:
cant wait to see him play for the Irons

Seen a lot of France fans saying how well Zouma has done tonight. I have to agree, he looks 1 hell of a signing

Zouma starting the last 2 games for france just shows what a signing we’ve managed to make ⚒

Zouma plays the back 3 better than all our other CBs.
This will be handy when Moyes wants to use that formation.
He uses the ball well when needs to go fwd

Zouma is likely to be in the starting lineup when West Ham face Southampton at St Mary’s on Saturday afternoon. David Moyes’ side conceded twice at home against Crystal Palace last time out, and the addition of a new centre-half is quite timely.
The Frenchman is superb aerially and has a good deal of pace, so you would expect that he will slot into the backline without a very long adaptation period.
It is likely that Zouma will be partnered with the experienced Angelo Ogbonna but we shall see how Moyes chooses to go about things this weekend.
