‘Can’t Wait To Have You Back’ ‘Sooner The Better’ West Ham Fans Keenly Anticipating Star’s Comeback From Injury After Return Date Is Confirmed

West Ham winger Michail Antonio took to Twitter yesterday to confirm that he is hoping to be back in first-team contention after the next international break.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini said at his pre-match press conference that he was hopeful that the 29-year-old will return before the end of the month, and the player himself echoed those words:

Supporters are keenly anticipating Antonio’s return to action:

The winger has only made four appearances this season due to a hamstring injury. He pulled up in the early stages of the Hammers’ 2-0 win over Newport County in the Carabao Cup back in late August.

It was subsequently revealed that Antonio could be out of action for up to four months, but he is now expected to return to action just three months after suffering the hamstring tear.

The first game he could be involved in is the London derby against Tottenham at home later this month.
