Bundesliga outfit keen to land West Ham United defender

Bundesliga side Hannover are hoping to land West Ham united defender Reece Oxford before the end of the month, according to reports.

Oxford spent last season on-loan in Germany with Borussia Monchengladbach, where he made eight appearances in all competitions.

The 19-year-old returned briefly to West Ham mid-way through the season after being re-called by then manager David Moyes, however loaned back to ‘Gladbach on deadline day after just a few days with the Hammers.

And it is now understood Hannover are keen to make Oxford’s switch to the Bundesliga permanent with West Ham reportedly willing to listen to offers for the young defender.



The Hammers are prepared to sell the teenager for around £10 million as they look to recoup some of the near £100 million they spent on nine new players this summer.

Hannover are likely to face competition from Bundesliga rivals RB Leipzig however who are also keen on Oxford, while Borussia Monchengladbach are also considering a permanent move.

The Premier League’s transfer window closed last Thursday, however teams from Germany, Spain and France still have until the end of the month to complete any transfers.
