Brady Provides Update On David Moyes After West Ham Boss Is Put In Quarantine

West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady says manager David Moyes has shown no signs that he has contracted the Coronavirus despite being put in self-isolation.

The Hammers boss came in contact with Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta after the 1-0 defeat against the Gunners last weekend, and with the Spaniard having since tested positive for the virus, it was decided that the Irons chief would be quarantined as a precaution. However, Brady has said that Moyes is fit and healthy:

“Our manager David Moyes is also in self-isolation although that is a sensible precaution as he is showing no symptoms at all.”

With Arteta and Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi both having picked up the illness, the decision to suspend Premier League matches became inevitable. However, Brady has also suggested that the season could now be cancelled if the pandemic worsens:

“There is no dodging the possibility that all levels in the EFL, as well as the Premier League, will have to be cancelled and this season declared null and void because if the players can’t play the games can’t go ahead. The PL hopes that an interlude of three weeks from today will enable it to restart but that may well be dreamland.”

These have proven to be incendiary comments, which have not gone down well in the world of football. Another emergency meeting with the Premier League will be held next week to decide what the next move will be
