Bowen And Fornals To Start, Snodgrass Drops To The Bench: West Ham’s Predicted XI To Face Southampton

After a much-improved performance against Liverpool on Monday, West Ham manager David Moyes is unlikely to make many changes when the Hammers face Southampton this afternoon.

Jeremy Ngakia is expected to keep his place at right-back, alongside Issa Diop, Angelo Ogbonna and Aaron Cresswell in the backline. Lukasz Fabianski is likely to stay in the starting line up despite his errors at Anfield.

In midfield, Tomas Soucek’s injury will mean Moyes will have to choose between Pablo Fornals and Manuel Lanzini. After the Spaniard’s goal against the Reds, he is the favourite to be included in the eleven.

Jarrod Bowen has been a substitute in his first two games since his move from Hull City last month, and the 23-year-old could well get his first start today. It will be a toss-up between Felipe Anderson and Robert Snodgrass for who loses out, but with Bowen more comfortable on the right, the Scot would probably be favourite to drop to the bench.

Up front, Michail Antonio has done more than enough to keep his place ahead of record signing Sebastien Haller.
