Ben Jacobs Reveals Arsenal Have Joined PL Rivals In Pursuing West Ham Midfield General

Arsenal will challenge Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool for the signature of West Ham’s Declan Rice, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

The England international is expected to leave the London Stadium at the end of the season after rejecting a number of offers to extend his contract with the Irons.

While United and Liverpool are in the mix to secure Rice’s services, it is believed that the midfielder would prefer to stay in London. That means the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal would be the favourites to land him next summer.

Jacobs has previously stated that the Hammers have placed an asking price of around £70m to £85m on the 23-year-old, which is a lot lower than previous reports. Whether those figures are accurate, we shall have to wait and see.

It does appear, though, that West Ham are preparing for life without Rice, with it being suggested that the London club are interested in recruiting Ajax’s Edson Alvarez as his replacement.
