Balbuena And Fornals In, Ogbonna And Yarmolenko Out: West Ham’s Predicted Line Up To Face Norwich City

West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that Michail Antonio did suffer a serious hamstring injury in the match against Newport on Tuesday.

With the 29-year-old out of contention for the match against Norwich tomorrow, a place on the right-wing is up for grabs. Andriy Yarmolenko did start versus Watford last weekend, but after scoring midweek, Pellegrini will almost certainly want summer signing Pablo Fornals back in the side to build on his display last time out.

Although it was only against League Two opposition, the Hammers also kept their first clean sheet of the campaign against Newport, with Fabian Balbuena having been recalled to partner Issa Diop in the heart of the defence.

Angelo Ogbonna’s performances against Brighton and Watford were not particularly impressive. The Italian was partly at fault for the goals conceded in both games. Balbuena’s return will, therefore, certainly be considered by Pellegrini.

In other areas of the pitch, Javier Hernandez is back from a knee injury that kept him out of the Watford victory, but he is likely only to make the bench after Sebastien Haller bagged a double at Vicarage Road.

Despite an improved performance versus Newport, Jack Wilshere is unlikely to displace captain Mark Noble in midfield for the game at the London Stadium.

West Ham’s Predicted XI To Face Norwich City:

Fabianski, Fredericks, Diop, Balbuena, Masuaku, Rice, Noble, Fornals, Lanzini, Anderson, Haller
