Arteta Makes David Moyes Claim Ahead Of West Ham’s Clash Against Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says he expects West Ham to make life very difficult for his side when the Hammers face the Gunners at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon.

David Moyes’ side recently gave Liverpool a scare and have won at Chelsea this season, and Arteta knows that the Irons will prove to be a tough opponent under the guidance of one of his former managers:

“They [West Ham] caused a lot of problems for big teams. I worked with David for seven years [at Everton] and I know how structured he will be. I am sure he’ll put a team out there that is going to make life very difficult for us.”

“They will compete, they will be physical. We need to use our resources, play our game and then just think about performing. That performance will bring the points home.”

West Ham will want to build on the momentum of winning against Southampton last weekend, but Arsenal have not lost domestically since the turn of the year so it could be a tight contest on Saturday.

The Hammers have, though, improved in the attacking third of the pitch over the past couple of games, and fans will be hoping that Moyes sticks with the front three of Sebastien Haller, Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen which proved so effective versus the Saints in the 3-1 victory last time out.
