Arsenal Now Leading West Ham In Race To Secure Algerian Ace On Free Transfer

Arsenal are now leading West Ham, Everton and Nice in the race for winger Yacine Brahimi, according to reports in Algeria.

The 29-year-old has now left Porto on a free transfer following the end of his contract at the Portuguese club.

The Hammers have been heavily linked with Brahimi in recent months but it has been reported that the Gunners are in advanced negotiations to seal a deal for the Algerian international.

Considering West Ham have already signed Pablo Fornals, who can play out wide, it would be very surprising if manager Manuel Pellegrini wanted to sign another winger.

Along with Fornals, the Irons have Felipe Anderson, Andriy Yarmolenko, Robert Snodgrass, Michail Antonio and Grady Diangana who they can call upon.

West Ham’s current focus is believed to be on signing a striker, with Andy Carroll and Lucas Perez having already left the club this summer and Javier Hernandez likely to follow suit.
