West Ham have had an opening bid for Lille midfielder Amadou Onana rejected but they could return with another offer for the Belgian international, according to reports in England.
The 20-year-old is also believed to be a target for Arsenal, who have held talks with the player’s agent, but fans on Twitter are hoping that the midfielder ends up moving to the London Stadium:
That would be an incredible signing

It does look as if manager David Moyes is serious about securing Onana’s signature, after a €23m (£20m) offer was put in for the holding midfield player.
The Irons do need to strengthen their options in the middle of the park, with their numbers having been reduced after the departures of Mark Noble and Alex Kral.
Whether they will be able to agree a fee with Lille for Onana, it is up for debate. The Ligue One side say the Belgian isn’t for sale so we shall see if their stance softens if an improved proposal is made.
