Agent Of Slovakian International Confirms West Ham Interest Ahead Of Possible Summer Switch

The agent of Viktoria Plzen midfielder Patrik Hrosovsky has confirmed West Ham will consider making a move for the 26-year-old at the end of the season.

Pavel Zika revealed that the Slovakian international is on the Hammers’ radar and the player is keen on a switch to the Premier League in the summer:

“Our goal and Patrik’s goal is to move to the best football competitions, and for Patrik, the English league is at the top”

“Specifically, in West Ham, Patrik is being closely monitored and will continue to do so in the spring and hopefully, the right offer and the opportunity to move to West Ham will come in the summer.”

Zika also confirmed that Hrosovsky could have made the move to the London Stadium in the January transfer window, but both sides felt it was best to leave it until the end of the campaign:

“West Ham is interested and, even at the end of January, a serious cash offer was made, but both Plzen and Patrik and I decided that it is not good to change in the middle of the season.”

The midfielder was born in the Czech Republic and has played his entire career in that country despite playing for Slovakia at international level.

Hrosovsky generally plays as a holding midfielder, and would likely be a replacement for Pedro Obiang if the Spaniard leaves the club as many predict in the summer.

This campaign, the Slovakian has made 32 appearances, having played all six of Viktoria Plzen’s group games in the Champions League. He scored in a 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu back in October.
