Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho’s main priority is to sign a centre-back this summer and West Ham defender Issa Diop is top of the list, according to reports in France.
The Spurs boss is known to be big fan of the 23-year-old, but when asked whether the Hammers should sell the Frenchman to their fierce rivals, the majority of supporters on Twitter are firmly against it:
60m. Add on an extra 10-20 just because it’s them ?

Cause it’s spurs 80m?

Not selling to spurs. That’s the price.

125 mill for spurs or straight swap for Kane

Spurs don’t do business with us so why should we with them. 0 players from our squad should be available to them for any money
— Dom ??? (@domchandler8) May 9, 2020
Rather sell him for less to another club.
— Jake (@JacobLewisP) May 9, 2020
I wouldn't sell him to them.
If they don't want to sell their players to us then we shouldn't sell ours to them

Money does talk, especially in light of the current global situation but West Ham would certainly not allow Diop to go on the cheap.
The London club spent £22m on the centre-half just two years ago and it has been suggested that they would only consider selling now for around £60m.
That may have changed in recent weeks, but with there being very few top-quality centre-backs on the market, Diop is still a highly sought after commodity.
As fans mention, West Ham would likely prefer to sell to anyone other than Spurs, and you would expect them to play hardball if Mourinho’s side do enter negotiations.
