West Ham are “serious” about snapping up Torino striker Andrea Belotti, according to MilanLive.it.
The Italian, who has 39 caps for his country, is available on a free transfer in June when his contract expires, leading to reports that the likes of Arsenal and AC Milan could make a move for the player.
MilanLive don’t mention the Gunners but they do say that the Rossoneri’s fiercest competition will come from the Hammers, who could well make a bid for Belotti in the January transfer window.
It is believed that David Moyes’ side have been tracking the 27-year-old for “months” and they even made an approach for the forward before the start of the season.
If West Ham do go ahead with a bid for Belotti in the New Year, they would actually be favourites for the Italian international’s signature, with Milan only prepared to sign Belotti on a free next summer.
