West Ham are now expected to sign Kurt Zouma from Chelsea, according to insider source ExWHUemployee.
There had been some speculation yesterday that the deal was in jeopardy after a complication in the defender’s medical. It was claimed that a past knee injury had caused some concerns. However, ExWHUemployee took to Twitter this morning to clarify the situation:
I believe that talks regarding Zouma have been very positive over night. The quote I was given overnight is that the deal is very much alive (seeking further clarity on that) but knowing the source this means the deal is close to being done.

The Hammers have agreed to pay €30m (£26m) for Zouma, with personal terms having been agreed after some protracted negotiations which took a number of weeks to complete.
It would have been a massive setback for manager David Moyes if the transfer had collapsed at the final hurdle due to a medical issue.
If and when the Zouma deal does get over the line, it remains to be seen whether West Ham will make moves for any other players before the transfer window closes. Despite the club having only one recognised striker in Michail Antonio, there is been no suggestion that the club are close to adding a player to their forward line.
