Chelsea are very likely to make a bid for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice this week ahead of the transfer window closing, according to insider ExWHUemployee:
I think this week things may happen. There are offers in for a number of players including Rugani of Juve and other players and I expect Chelsea will make a move for Rice this week (not that this is a good thing). https://t.co/00iJ8km8xk

The Hammers are determined to keep the 21-year-old, having reportedly slapped a £75m price tag on the player, but that figure is unlikely to deter the Blues from making a formal offer before Monday’s deadline.
The biggest question mark is over what sort of bid Chelsea will make. Some news outlets have claimed that it could be as little as £40m. If that is indeed the case, West Ham’s board would not even consider such a proposal.
One added complication, though, is whether Frank Lampard’s side decide to include players in the deal. Irons boss David Moyes is known to be interested in Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Emerson Palmieri, while there are also reports that they could be looking to sign Antonio Rudiger on loan. Whether a part-exchange deal would tempt West Ham into selling up, we shall have to wait and see
