West Ham youngster Ben Johnson has signed a new long term contract with the club
The 19-year-old has put pen to paper on a new deal that keeps him at the London Stadium until 2022, and the right-back says he’s delighted to have signed on the dotted line:
“It’s great. First of all, I want to thank God for blessing me with this opportunity, to be playing football at this massive club. Extending my stay here is fantastic news for me and my family.”
Fans on Twitter are happy to see Johnson commit his future to the Hammers:

Johnson made his senior debut against Manchester City back in February. It was a baptism of fire for the teenager, having to play out of position at left-back.
He did an admirable job as part of a West Ham team that defended very well at the Etihad Stadium, with only a penalty from Sergio Aguero separating the two sides.
Johnson’s next task will be to build on his solitary appearance for the first team and try to emulate Declan Rice who has established himself as a regular starter under manager Manuel Pellegrini.
