4 European Championship Stars Who Could Be Available For Less Than 20M This Summer

With the European Championships coming to an end on Sunday evening, we thought it was a good time to look back and take note of some of the players who starred in the competition.

There were a few surprises in terms of the top performers, and some of these could actually be available relatively cheaply this summer due to their club situations.

We have taken the Transfermarkt value to base our conclusions but, for the players we have included on this list, we feel they are pretty fair asking prices.

Press the next page as we list four bargain buys based on their Euro 2020 performances.

Ivan Perisic – Inter Milan  – £9m

The Croatian scored two goals in just three appearances at the European championships, and he is expected to be offloaded by Inter for a relatively low amount due to his contract situation.

Perisic has one year remaining on his current deal, and he is unlikely to be offered a new one, so his club will be open to any bids in the coming days and weeks. The 32-year-old can play as either a winger or wingback.

Emil Forsberg – RB Leipzig – £18m

The Swedish international bagged an impressive four goals in four matches at the Euros, and he played a critical role in getting his country through the group stages of the tournament.

Forsberg did only renew his contract back in May, so there is a chance that bids would be knocked back for the midfielder but, at 29 years of age, Leipzig are unlikely to hold out for much more than his current Transfermarkt value.

Xherdan Shaqiri – Liverpool – £10.8m

The “Powercube” is expected to leave Anfield this summer if the Reds can recoup most of the £13.5m they paid Stoke City for the Swiss international back in 2018.

Shaqiri scored three goals and provided one assist in five games for his country at Euro 2020 and, while his recent injury history is a major concern, he is still a very capable player who has a great deal to offer any team.

Steven Zuber – Eintracht Frankfurt – £2.25m

The left-winger provided four assists in four appearances for Switzerland at the Euros, and while he may cost more than his Transfermarkt valuation, he could be a bargain buy for a Premier League club.

Zuber was not a regular starter for Frankfurt last season, having started just six league games, so the Bundesliga side will likely listen to offers for the 29-year-old.
