26M Rated Bundesliga Star ‘Openly Aiming’ For PL Switch With West Ham, Villa And Arsenal All Circling

Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Djibril Sow is “openly aiming” for a move to England, according to Sport1.

The German TV station claim that the Swiss international is refusing to sign a new contract and, with his current deal set to expire in eighteen months’ time, a sale is likely, with West Ham and Aston Villa keen on signing the player in January.

Sow is a key figure for Frankfurt, having played in all but one of their matches in the Europa League last season, when they won the trophy on penalties against Rangers. The Bundesliga side will fight hard to keep him, with Sport1 claiming he’s valued at €30m (£26m).

It should be pointed out that Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in the Swiss international over the last week, although it is felt that the Hammers and Villa are the most likely to table a bid next month.

Manager David Moyes has been keen to add a new midfielder to his squad for a while, having failed to secure the services of both Amadou Onana and Matheus Nunes in the summer. We shall have to wait and see if West Ham do firm up their interest in Sow.
