5. Mathias Kvistgaarden, Norwich City
23-year-old Norwich striker Kvistgaarden would be a signing for the future, as he has only been in English football since the summer, when he joined from Brondby.
The Danish attacker can also play as a winger on the left or right-hand side. He has an estimated market value of around £8.6m, which means he could be a cheap, high-upside option.
4. Cameron Archer, Southampton
Next up is Cameron Archer, who has Premier League experience with both Southampton and Aston Villa. It makes him a really good option for a relegation-battling side in need of some solid centre-forward play.
Archer has been at Southampton since August 2024, making 61 appearances in that time. He has a similar market value to Kvistgaarden, but he could cost more because of his previous experience in the Premier League.
3. Haji Wright, Coventry City
Haji Wright is one of those Championship players you would think would have played in the Premier League by now. Although, based on Coventry’s start to the season, he could be doing very soon.
Wright has been at Coventry for three years, scoring 40 goals in 105 games. He is more of a physical presence, as he has a lot of pace and strength. He would likely cost around £20m if a Premier League club wanted to sign him.
2. Jay Stansfield, Birmingham City
Stansfield has been a goal machine ever since he joined Birmingham in August 2024. He has scored 45 goals in 117 games for the Blues, helping them to League One promotion last year too.
The 24-year-old is yet to play in the Premier League, so he could cost more, especially considering that his current market value is estimated to be around £16m.
1. Josh Sargent, Norwich City
US international Sargent is a proven striker in the English league by now, and he is very clearly good enough to play in the Premier League, but hasn’t been given a good chance at it.
He has scored seven goals in 23 games this season for Norwich, and he could be a great addition not only for a bottom-half Premier League team, but also a top-half Premier League team looking for more depth up front.
